The Great Outdoors

Signing in with new names.

Dividing up the magnatiles. How do we get the same number in each basket? (We had to return half to the Owls, and it was a good math problem to figure out.)

Spanish!

Building and dramatic play filled our free choice time.

After Snack, we headed out into a gorgeous day.

Friends are using the water to make all kinds of things.

Some Catbirds, recalling what the sandbox looked like after the last storm, decided to form a river.

Others are figuring out new ways to test their strength and skills on the climber.

Other experiments with water in a shady spot.

Telling stories outdoors.

River bridges.

Off to the library. Doris read us two similar stories today: The Three Bears, and The Three Blairs. We talked about the ways that these stories were different in terms of characters, settings and feeling, as well as specific differences in the plots.

Then we got new books.

And we read some of them together.

We also had a very cute visitor!
