Super Heroes and Stories

Ah, the morning routine! Signing in, journaling,

first building of the day.

Checking in with the Family...actually, creating the morning's family.

Saying goodbye to family for the day.

Working on our Super Hero pictures. This is one of the times when using technology makes sense, as the Catbirds are manipulating the photos they took earlier this week, to create a fantasy, super hero scene. It requires some specific fine motor skills that are not easy, but we also have the luxury of "undoing," which has allowed the Catbirds to take chances with their work.

Some friends were building and inventing today. There were tiny machines that both cut hair and dispensed snacks!

This is how we counted down to clean up time.

Puzzle races.

A little run around before settling in for Morning Meeting.

The puppets came to visit, with another problem - a toy-grabbing and hitting issue. The Catbirds were so great about helping them to solve their problem.

Next, we created another round robin story: first, identifying characters, then setting, then developing the story.

Choice Time!

A new kind of clay.

More super hero work.

The "Water Box" (as it has been dubbed), with new tools.

More building!

Hammer Art and Connectors!
