Writing and Reading, and Reading

Our building projects continue to develop.

All kinds of shapes and patterns are emerging.

We got ourselves a new, heavy duty pencil sharpener and friends were eager to install it.

With all the writing going on, we need to keep our writing materials in good shape.

Friends were eager to help with the drilling, as well as figuring out how the drill worked.

There have also been many puppies running around in our room (and sometimes in the hallway).

Once the new sharpener was in place, some of the Catbirds set about learning to use it. Not only does it keep our pencils in shape, it is good for strengthening little hands, in some of the muscles that are important for writing.

Snack time.

A little time outside...

...before we gathered up our books to head to the library.

First, a dragon story from Michelle.

The Catbirds gave it mostly Two Thumbs Up.

Time to find books of our own.

Michelle has laid out a great selection of books.

After we make our choices, we check them out.

We take our new books outside and find a good reading spot.

Inside, we have more reading to do, then lunch.

In the afternoon, music time.

Some delicious meals were concocted.

As we wound up the day, we gave the camera to some Catbirds...
