The Leaning Tower of Pizza Hut

A busy morning of reading, journaling,

and visiting friends to borrow tools.

Along the way, we stopped in the Science room to visit the turtle and the fish.

The Turtle was eating live worms! We were fascinated and slightly grossed out.

After we cut the carpet to line our boxes, we rolled the rest back to our room.

Where we had some important things to do - like feed the guinea pigs,

give the ape a ride on the tiger while wearing headphones,

read books to our baby,

make trains,

and take pictures.

After Snack, we headed outside and found lots of good snow for making things with - like Snow Dogs and Snow People.

There were many excellent puddles in which we waded.

AND SNOWBALLS! We had a giant, run all over the playground snowball fight.

Symmetry was not required.

Back inside, we warmed up with some song and dance.

Then Danielle read us, Can We Play Outside?

Choice Time included: Easel painting, moon sand, and building in the Commons.

Here you see the rebuild of the tower that fell over. When asked why it was crooked, the response was, because it is "The Leaning Tower of Pizza Hut."

Friends built tracks and tunnels and one very wobbly "play structure."

Then, an ice cream store opened up. On sale were ice cream cones and power tools.

Good thing, too, because we needed them. Tomorrow, we have plans for store expansion.
Over lunch, we talked about the First Graders post office, and generated a list of people we might write letters to. We added, "Get Stamps" to our list for Tuesday.
