Sunshiney Day

The Catbird's day began with journaling, playing with friends, and helping empty the water out of the Water Table. Friends were very interested to see water come out of the spigot and into a bucket. The Catbirds made sure the bucket did not overflow and they let Carol know when it was getting close. 

Friends were also being very silly and hiding the fruit in the tissue box! Danielle went to get a tissue and instead found a banana and a watermelon slice!

After we cleaned up, we had snack and headed outside to play! Friends were very excited that the sun was out and shining. 

Some friends played music while other friends sat on the bench and enjoyed the concert.

We even took the camera outside to take pictures of our friends playing on the Outdoor Classroom. 

Some of the Catbirds met on the stage to play baby. Some friends were pretending they were Mommies, babies and Daddies. The Catbird's imagination is becoming more and more creative in developing their characters and expanding their dramatic play.

We then headed inside for one of our favorite activities - Library with Gwen. We dropped our old library books in the slot and met Gwen on the rug for a story.

Gwen read us a book called "Dinosaurs". It taught us a lot about different dinosaurs. We even learned that a Triceratops means three horns. 

After the story Gwen let us pick out more books for our classroom. One friend was was very excited because there were many books on "cute little animals". 

After library we headed back to our classroom for the Hello song and Choice Time. Friends were able to choose between the Easel, Drawing, Water Table and Pretend Play. 

The Water Table was refilled will water and watercolor red and yellow stars. Friends were very excited when the red and yellow stars turned the water orange!

The Pretend Play also had two new toys, the cash register and the shopping cart. Friends have been very interested in playing store. Today our store sold many things from fruits to cups to books. Many Mommies brought their babies to the store to go food shopping. Once everything was sold, we closed up our shop and ate lunch!
