"Are You Sleeping?"

Today began with music! Jason had some intriguing instruments laid out on the floor when we came in to begin our musical march.

After singing some of our favorites, we learned the song "Are You Sleeping?" and Jason woke us up with bells. Then, each Catbird took turns being the sleeper, and we played our bells as we sang the song.

Jason brought out an audio book called, Jazz Fly. There were lots of instruments playing different jazz riffs, and the Catbirds really enjoyed the sounds.

Important Note: On Monday, we have an assembly with the visiting jazz musician, Buster Williams at 9am (so please make sure friends are here early, so that e have time to journal and get ready!)

After our snack, we headed outside. We found a very frozen pond!

An bits of ice around.

We played some music together, and then played a big game of chase.

At Morning Meeting, Pony and Puppy came to visit. Turns out they were having one of the same problems that the Catbirds sometimes have! Pony told Puppy (in a very mean voice) that he didn't want to play with him. The Catbirds were eager to give suggestions about how to solve the conflict.

Then it was Choice Time:
