Scarecrows

It was another happy morning. Friends had stories to tell and many were eager to try new things (like name writing).

There was even a gathering of babies and Catbirds readying for a trip to Sesame Place.

After snack, we headed outside. It was a beautiful day and there was much silliness.

After we had run some sillies out, we set out on an adventure. We were searching for leaves to use on our Fall Festival t-shirts, but we were immediately distracted by the appearance of scarecrows. Of course, we had to go check them out. We went to see each one up close, and got quite good at imitating them.

Then we headed out to find a sunny spot for Morning Meeting. We had grapes that Carol from the cafeteria had given us, and a great book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! So, we read and munched, THEN we started hunting for beautiful leaves.

We found so many, that we had to toss bunches of them in the air.

On the way back we found piles of straw, and rolled and jumped in that, too.

Then, we had our first stop at the rock pile for some climbing and sliding.

Then it was time to head back for lunch, carting our bag full of leaves.
