We had a lovely morning in the Catbird nest. Friends worked on their journals and then: played with the Snap Buttons, which encourage them to create patterns and enhance fine motor strength;
laughed together in the Cozy Box;
read stories;
watched them put on the last roof and bring in plants and new stumps (Monday, we will get to officially take over the play structure);
and play with play dough.
We got together for Morning Meeting. We sang one of our favorite Silly Face songs and had our Moment of Silence.
Then, we took a look at our finished Thank You card for Marty and Timmy. Friends were excited about how it turned out. We decided to go out to deliver it and we picked a song to sing (Make New Friends).
Marty was very happy.
Then, it was time to go in and celebrate our first birthday of the season!
We had a wonderful snack, brought in by the birthday boy's family!
Freshly refueled, we headed out for an adventure.
We discovered something out front - some friends thought it was a ship.
We stopped at our favorite wall for some balancing and jumping.
Then we stopped at the gym and asked Mister C if we could borrow some balls. He let us have so many that EVERYONE HAD ONE! It was great!. We practiced kicking and throwing and catching and chasing and bouncing them on our heads and sitting on them.
We were very tough and athletic...
...as well as silly and friend-ish.
It was a good day.
