Places to Go

Picture of the Day

After a lengthy train commute, friends got down to business.

We worked on sanding our box so that it is very smooth.

"I was on the train," said Tori. "I loved it."

We put all of our animals on leashes, so that we could take them on our adventure with us.

Outside of the window, we spotted a squirrel, hanging upside down. We stopped to watch and laugh.

We took the secret back passageway,

and came out on the stage!

We gave all of our animals front row seats. Danielle went clear up to the back of the auditorium

We sang two of our songs, loud enough for her to hear us.

My favorite part of the day was:
"Playing the music on the stage," said Nora

Then the Catbirds went to the back of the auditorium, and asked Carol and Danielle to sing. They did (unfortunately, no pictures were taken during this part of the performance.

Some Catbirds wanted to come down and do one more song.

This time, the rest of us clapped.

We came back for snack, and then headed outside.

It was such a nice day, we decided to go on a walkabout. We went to the big kids playground.

Over a log pile, to the puddle tree.

Then we got out our caterpillar rope, and everyone hung on. We use this to cross the street over to the triangle gym. This is where Danielle's dad's office is, so we asked him about cutting our steering wheels for us. Maybe tomorrow we can bring our wood over.

We went in the gym to run around, and we played a few games of Mrs. Fox and the Chickens. It is a great game that uses time and counting and, best of all, running and chasing.

We took a leisurely walk back, as friends were getting tired. It was a very eventful day.
