Meeting for Worship

After a little journaling this morning, we bundled up and headed over to the meetinghouse. Today, we brought some artwork and our thoughts about light. As we sat in the meetinghouse, lots of friends from EC through 4rth grade stood up and shared their ideas about light. Then. we all shook hands and Rich Nourie played the guitar while we sang, "This Little Light of Mine."

When we headed outside, we took a slight detour to stop and play at the old playground. Friends had fun climbing and swinging. Then we headed back to our room for a well deserved snack.

After snack, Justin and his 7th grade math class came in for "Math Caroling" (apparently, they usually sing songs about math. For us, they did "Jingle Bells.").

Then, we had some time to play with our friends, while others finished up some of our projects. We finished making our watercolor shapes to hang on the tree tomorrow for winterfest, AND finished a secret project! It was a very productive morning. We also made wide varieties of rock soup, read books in boxes and went searching for treasures in the rice table.

There were pictures being drawn and photos being taken. Then, suddenly, all of the Catbirds turned into puppies! Of course, with this many puppies in the room, we had to go outside to exercise them. Once outdoors, we turned into all kinds of other creatures, doing all kinds of things.
