Thank You!

Almost first thing, we headed out with all of the EC to go to Lower School Meeting for Worship.

We got ourselves ready and headed in. (We don't have any photos from inside). The Catbirds had front row seats and were fascinated listening to the big kids talk about the things they were thankful for. Then, we all shook hands and sang, "Simple Gifts."

We took a meandering route back.

We stopped at the rock pile, to climb and slide. It is some excellent strength and balance play (and really fun).

We scaled many boulders and stopped in the big kid's playground,

for more sliding and climbing.

Back in the outdoor classroom, we decided that it was too beautiful of a day to go inside, so we brought all of our activities outside. We brought out the guitar to play,

filled the pond,

played babies,

and emptied the pond.

We watched with interest as something new was installed.

We even brought our snack outside.

When they finished with the installation, we figured out what it was - a Musical Instrument! (A marimba, to be exact).

We had a lot of fun playing it.

Then we brought books outside, and sat in the sunshine listening to stories. Before we knew it, families were arriving to pick up the Catbirds.

It was a beautiful day, and reminded Danielle and I how thankful we are for the privilege and pleasure of spending our days in the company of your amazingly wonderful children.
Have a peaceful holiday!
