Getting into the Monday Groove

Our day started with Spanish, where we are working on both our animals and colors using Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (AKA Oso Cafe, Oso Cafe, qué ves ahí?).

Then it was happiness and singing, as friends formed bands and wrote and performed original songs.

Then it was time for Music class, and we were ready!

After snack, we headed outside.

We had Morning Meeting and a puppet show (which we never get any pictures of, because both photographers have puppets on their hands). In this one, the two friends were having a problem because one of them was always jumping on the other and hugging them and being too rough. Although the Catbirds had many interesting ideas about the situation, this was a problem they could not solve. They kept thinking of different activities for the friends to do together, and different setting for them to play in. As differences in physicality often emerge as friends are playing together, we will revisit this one again and see where it takes us.

At lunch, we got out the apple peeler which is the tool that friends are currently fascinated by and made a twirly apple.

Amy read from our chapter book at naptime as we settled in for a short rest.
