A Paint Adventure!

Today began with friends feeding the worms and making sure they were still in the first bin. The Catbirds found it very funny that the worms like to escape and go into the compost part. So very carefully friends picked up the worms and moved them back into their proper place.

Other friends drew beautiful pictures in their journals.

One friend even check our blood pressure to make sure we were still alive. Everyone was very excited to hear such positive results! Friends also finished painting the Peace Table which is almost ready to be used!

Some of the Catbirds were multi-tasking by playing in the sandbox while playing babies. There were lots of Mommies, Daddies and Babies scooping and pouring sand.

One friend bought a wagon in for us to use on adventures, so we did just that! We pulled our wagon all the way to the Art Room to see if our clay pieces were ready.

And they were! Friends noticed that their clay started out soft and gray, but now it was hard and white!

While our wagon was carefully loaded up, we sang some songs. The Catbirds loved, "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" especially when they would go super fast.

We then headed back to our classroom for a Moment of Foot Stomping Noises and a Moment of Silence. Then, Carol told us that Tricia delivered us a big canvas for the Art Show, so the rest of Morning Meeting is a secret. You'll just have to wait and see!

To finish up our morning, we bundled up and headed outside to go on an adventure. We grabbed our wagon, met the Owls and headed over to the old Early Childhood building. On our way there, we stopped at the Gaga pit which we realized was a great area to run in circles, which the Catbirds are really good at! When we arrived at the old EC building and went inside, we noticed there was a lot of paint, so we decided to load up our wagon and bring it back to our classroom. Friends made a huge Catbird and Owl train and carried most of the paint out. When our wagon was nice and full, we headed back. Friends worked together pushing and pulling the wagon all the way back to our classrooms. Once back inside, we washed up and ate all of our lunches since we were hungry from our big adventure.
