Working on How We Can Help - Making Rainbows

Morning routines.

Getting snack ready.

As you may recall, as part of our school wide theme, "Collective Purpose," the Catbirds made a list of people we can help. We have decided to try and help everyone on the list, beginning with People That Are All Alone.

This is our list of ways we might help.

So today, we started a rainbow making project. We will be melting crayons into heart shapes to make rainbow colored heart shaped crayons to give to people who are sad and alone, to make them feel better. This is me, talking with the Catbirds about what will happen when we put crayons in the oven.

After snack, we headed to music class.

Then we had some time out in the garden.

Talking to friends and siblings through the fence.

Story time, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."

Last week, friends found a bone outside. So we discussed it at morning meeting and got Catbirds' hypotheses about where it came from. Those who are interested will head to the lower school science room tomorrow for further investigation.

Vicki presented a new activity - watercoloring some fall pictures.

Friends painting pumpkins and leaves during choice time.

Catbirds taking the paper off of crayons and sorting them by colors.

Trains.

Fishing in our pond.
