A busy morning...
We had a monster story.
After snack, we headed to music.
At morning meeting, Vicki told us about one of our choices - making apple trees with pom poms.
We did our first baking of the year. It was the Catbird specialty, banana bread!
The sand table and music were other popular choices.
As is our tradition, all the bakers put flour on their noses...and beyond.
We all went downstairs to put the bread in the oven.
Friends guessed how many minutes it would take to bake. We narrowed it down to somewhere between one and a million minutes.
Raji and the kindergarteners came over to sing with us.
Carol had a package from Frog World, and friends spent some times squeezing it to try and figure out what was in there. Many guessed frogs (also with wide ranging estimates in terms of how many). Other guesses included wood chips and a chocolate donut. Before lunch, we unpacked.
IT WAS 6 FROGS!
