A Wonderful End of the Week!

Today, friends were showing some of the new and impressive things they can do with their bodies, like hopping on one foot.

And throwing and catching.

There was cake making and decorating.

Reading the Bimwili book.

Feeding the She-Dragon (the list of names has grown)

We went to our first assembly (no photos for that), and learned some songs. Rich Nourie (Head of School and musician extraordinaire), played the guitar and taught us the words.

Then, we headed outside to play before it got too hot. We brought snack out with us, and plenty of water.

Making things from pretzels. This is an ostrich head.

Glasses.

An ice cream cone.

Another ostrich head.

The number 3.

We had a story.

We had a special visitor today. Amy, who was a Catbird teacher last year, came to see us. There was much excitement among the Senior Catbirds.

There were hugs and showing of boo-boos.

Despite the heat, friends were having so much fun outside that they didn't' want to come in.

Then, some Catbirds started to fly!

Games were organized.

Friends were on the lookout.

Water was a popular play medium, and much painting happened.

A pirate ship was built.

Back inside, we continued our quest for a dragon name...

...and read a new story.

At Choice Time, we had some fun with shaving cream.

It was fun to watch it dissolve down the drain.

Some friends built animal houses together.

And feeding Popcorn was a very popular activity all day.

We are already starting to come together.
