Thank You Notes and Buzzers!

At the end of the day yesterday, friends helped create materials for the final level in this week's Cha Cha Challenge.

And we began this morning as all mornings begin...

Signing in and chatting with friends

Building and journaling

And more Cha Cha Challenge preparation

Early on, we had art class with Amanda!

The Catbirds were thrilled to paint. They were particularly fascinated by watching the water change color when they washed their brushes.

Two superheroes conferred about color mixing. Which colors make green?

It got messy!

We headed back to the room for a...

Dance party!

In celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday week, Carol read us (another!) Dr. Seuss story during snack time.

At morning meeting, we decided to use the new Lower School Post Office to send out our first letter.

The Catbirds dictated a letter to Raji, thanking him for lending us his dragon puzzle.

Despite our best efforts to dissuade them, the Catbirds helped us spell AND read the letter!

Then we had choice time.

The final level of the Wacky Word Wonder Cha Cha Challenge was a popular choice.
In this level, we introduced... the buzzers! They were a big hit.

Friends had to spell out their names using the letters in the middle of the table. When they successfully found their names, they could hit a buzzer to signal their completion.

Letter Writing was also a choice. Some friends wrote letters to siblings... their own and each other's.

At the end of the day, the Catbirds hug attacked Carol. She will be at a national education conference in Florida tomorrow to give a presentation with fellow Lower School colleagues. Friends wished her luck and sent her off with massive amounts of love.
