Sleeping Dragon Smoke

The day began as every day does...

Friends helped to fix a magnetic toy that was broken

and build and signed in...

Early in the morning we headed to the Meetinghouse for Meeting For Worship with the whole Lower School.  On the walk back to the classroom, it was super foggy!

Friends discussed the foggy weather, which they decided was actually Sleeping Dragon Smoke.

They rushed through the Sleeping Dragon Smoke, in search of dragon tracks.

We could hardly see through the heavy fog - I mean, Sleeping Dragon Smoke!

Finally, we made it through and back to the Catbird classroom we went...

...where we celebrated a birthday with delicious cupcakes.

Then, we played some tunes before heading to music class.

With Aedín, we walked in rhythm,

practiced our singing voices,

and made music with many different instruments.

We also practiced sitting up straight, as tall as a mountain.

Then, we flew outdoors and transformed into superheroes.

Found a great big clump of mud

Superheroes conferring...

And an offering of cake

Inside, we warmed up and had morning meeting

The Catbirds cheered on Carol as she practiced this week's Cha Cha Challenge.

Go Carol, go Carol, go Carol!

For choice time, there was collage...

puzzles, games with Heidi...

and dramatic play.

Posing in celebration of the completion of the GIANT dinosaur floor puzzle!

A story before nap time...
