Feet Painting

The Catbirds morning began with journaling, playing in the sandbox, completing puzzles and with lots of Mommies and babies.

Friends were so very excited to see one another today, so the Catbird's room was filled with many happy faces.

The Catbirds were so quick to clean up that Danielle said that she sneezed and she missed it! This made friends laugh! Friends then washed their hands and sat down for snack. After snack, friends headed outside to enjoy our Outdoor Classroom.

Outside, friends built a trampoline out of a wooden plank which helped friends jump really high in the air!

Other friends built bridges out of the blocks and wooden planks. The Catbirds had to use their big muscles to move the blocks; good thing friends have been eating their growing food.

Mike even got creative with the blocks and wore them as shoes. Friends thought this was quite funny and one even thought that it was not safe!

Two Catbirds lifted up the outside mat and found lots of bugs hiding underneath it.

Next, friends headed back inside for Morning Meeting, Moment of Silence and Choice Time.

Regina read friends the book called The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash. The Catbirds gave this book all thumbs up, especially the part where the pigs rode the bus!

After the book was Choice Time; friends were able to choose between the sand table...

puzzles...

pattern blocks (which were built into tall towers)...

...and painting with your feet. The Catbirds found this choice to be very silly and fun all at the same time. Friends were given a large piece of paper, a big paint brush and a tray of paint.

Friends needed to concentrate very hard to keep the paint brush in between their toes.

Some friends painted in a small area...

Other friends found it easier to paint using the entire page.

After Choice Time, friends headed back outside to enjoy the rest of the morning!
