A (Mostly) Outside Day

This morning, friends worked on both their journals and their storybooks.

Then we headed outside, where all kinds of important play was happening. Many friends were mixing and pouring in the pond.

Others were discovering new growth on the plants and we brought Story-making outside.

There was lots of negotiating how to play with one another, and birthday cake building.

Before we knew it, it was time to go to music with the Doves Class. We are rehearsing for the big show next Friday, where we will be singing several songs.

We figured out how to line up, and sang all of our songs. We even practiced our bows!

Then, we headed right back outside. We had our snack outdoors.

There was music...

...and books. Friends from other classes joined us.

It turns out that friends know a great deal about animals, and were eager to share their knowledge. Here we see a Cardinal demonstrating how warthogs kneel down to graze. The morning flew by, and it was time for lunch. Today, we discussed plans for Beach Day. The Catbirds are very excited.
