In Which the Catbirds Make Food for Themselves and For People Who Don't Have Food.

This morning we gathered the pasta to bring to the kitchen. After that, we made our way to Assembly.

We watched a Kid President video about Martin Luther King Jr. Day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xXZhXTFWnE)

We sang some beautiful songs

And then went for a run in the long hallway

Back in the room, we resumed our routines and play

A lot was happening on this energized Friday - dramatic play, complex buildings

After the pasta was cooked, we had a peek

A Bucket of Pasta!

We had a morning meeting to talk about our pasta making

We had a wonderful discussion about people who don't have enough food to eat and where our casseroles were going to go.

Ziti Time!

Noodles and cheese and sauce galore!

Suffice it to say, the Catbird Classroom smelled DELICIOUS

Next we headed for the great outdoors

The pond was partially frozen, which was quite an exciting discovery

Soon, it was time for our PASTA PARTY in the downstairs room

The bowties were quite scrumptious, whether they were plain, with butter, or marinara sauce

It was a rousing success!
