Acorn Hunt

Our early morning, a lovely child-led exploration of so many things. Learning to read and follow patterns from the book of magnatile ideas.

Reading, writing experimenting with new shapes and forms.

Testing what we can do with our bodies.

Sensorimotor and dramatic play in the rice table.

Building things up...

...and taking them down.

This was a discussion over snack that started off as reflecting on the differences between boys and girls and wound around to a talk about the various colors of our skin.

Outside! Sliding and chipping away at ice in the pond.

Then we were off on a walkabout...our favorite pastime.

Treasure finding.

Wall balancing - climbing up and jumping off.

A frozen stone.

Hiding and jumping out to scare Amy!

More climbing and balancing.

We stopped to learn a new song on the bleachers.

Acorn collecting for our new squirrel nut crackers.

Tree climbing in the grove.

Puddle tree.

Heading home.
