Early this morning, our friends from the middle school came to spend time with us. They read us stories, built things, helped us with puzzles and tried to make paper airplanes.
We went out to play tag and hide and seek.
Some friends built towers and roads.
After snack, we settled in for Morning Meeting. We had a Moment of Cat and Dog Noises, and then a Moment of Silence. Then, we read a story about a cat and dog.
Next, we got ready to go on a treasure hunt, to collect some natural materials for our friend, Roseanne, the Science teacher. We each got a special bag to collect our treasures in, and then we headed off.
We found all kinds of great things - pinecones and sticky balls and different kinds of seeds and bark.
We filled up our bags.
We noticed that there are birds around. We chased them.
Back in the room, we had Choice Time.
It was nice to spend the day with older friends.
