Ice Cream

Another future Catbird readying their sign in skills.

We had assembly and the fourth grade did, "What Country is IT?

¿qué pais es?

Andrea talked with us about MLK Day.

Then we watched a story.

On our way back, we passed the kitchen. We used our noses to guess what Nancy was baking. We were right, chocolate chip cookies! She gave us some to take back to the room.

Back in the room, friends worked together to build a very complex structure.

We worked on our breathing.

We read, "I Want That Nut!" We tried to guess what would happen from the title and the cover. We paid attention to how the two friends were feeling and how they solved their problem.

At Choice Time, we got ready to make ice cream! First we had to take a trip to Susan's office to get some ice.

Then we mixed up ingredients.

There was some musical entertainment.

After we put the ingredients and the ice and salt, we had to start rolling the ice cream ball.

After 15 minutes, we checked inside. It was turning into ice cream! We scraped the sides and started rolling again.

This time, we took it out in the hallway.

We don't have pictures, because we were too busy eating, but after lunch almost everyone had a delicious cup of home made ice cream!
