Back Together Again

Our first day back and friends remembered how to get things done using teamwork.

We gathered for morning meeting with a friend from the fourth grade,

After a moment of silence, we settled in to listen to our book of the week; "A Library Book for Bear."

After some discussing our hypotheses about what might happen if we filled up our balloons with water and left them outside overnight, we set about the task of filling them and writing our names on them.

Here they are, ready to be put in the garden.

On Wednesday, we began our day as usual.

Some of our future Catbirds practiced their Catbirding skills.

There was building with duplos...

...and digging in magic sand.

And plenty of dramatic play.

We read our book of the week again, and friends graphed their ratings.

Then we went out and got our balloons.

Friends figured out how to get the balloons off and found ice and water in various forms.

Those who wanted to used watercolors on the ice forms.

Friends tried taking them apart in different ways.

Then we suited up for some much needed outside time!

Over lunch, Charity turned our beautiful creations into candlelit centerpieces.

They were so beautiful, we decided to take a friend trip and bring one to Andrea.

She loved it!
