It Is All a Blur

My dear friends, you may have been wondering at the lack of blog posts this week, so I am here to explain the problem. It seems that our camera is no longer interested in focusing, so that the majority of photos we have taken this week look something like these:

I have a new camera on order that should be here within the next couple of days. Meanwhile, here are some of the non-blurry pics from the past few days.

There is a prism in our window that makes rainbows on our walls now, on sunny mornings. The Catbirds love to make the rainbows dance, by winging it gently back and forth.

A slow train to somewhere.

The lounge car.

Knick Knack dressed as a unicorn for Halloween.

Paddywhack - the little devil!

Fall Family Festival.

Today, we had meeting for worship with our third grade buddies in our room. After, we told them about our Friend study and they said that they would write answers to some questions we will send them.

We spent some time with them outside while us teachers paired them with their buddies.

We read "Goodnight Gorilla," which is a book with few words, so the Catbirds had to figure out what was happening based on the pictures. It is a great way to work on understanding cause and effect and sequencing - important literacy skills.

After snack, we came up with some questions for our third grade buddies and then had Choice Time.

We did some experimenting and made three different kinds of flubber with a variety of ingredients.

Other friends built...

...and jumped...

...and pretended.

We explored the different textures.

One tower went so high that it required hardhats!

Our favorite, orange sherbert colored flubber!

TA-DA!
