Rainy Morning, and STEAM night preparations!

The weather kept us inside today, however, the Catbirds had a wonderful, productive morning together!
A record breaking magna tile structure was built in the block area, reaching new heights our class hasn't seen before!

And using Carol's breadmaker, we put together pizza dough which we hope to use tomorrow for some personal pizzas!

Keeping an eye on the dough as it tumbled in the machine inspired many sound effects and even some new "pizza dough dance moves"...

We also constructed a Lego wall to be used for our STEAM night activity tonight!

Our activity is the HEX BUGS vs. TREE COOKIES event in which tree cookies are balanced within the enclosure, and hex bugs are released and participants see how long their tree cookie stays standing!

It is a favorite game of the Catbirds', and we hope everyone enjoys trying it tonight in the Library for STEAM night!

For anyone who is able,
STEAM Night
is
TONIGHT!
The event begins at 6:30 pm, and there are many wonderful activities for everyone to experience!
