Pajama Day!

Our morning began with the usual rituals - except everyone was in their pajamas!

Pretty quickly, we got to work making breakfast.

Mixing up some whole wheat pancakes.

And cutting up berries (we had strawberries, blueberries and rasberries!).

We sat down together to eat. There were many seconds and some thirds (so if your child didn't eat much of their lunch, this may be why).

After clean up, we headed out for an indoor walkabout.

We wanted to find out who else was wearing pajamas.

We stopped in the big library. There were many pajama-ed people there. We climbed the stool to say hello to a portrait of Henry Faulkner.

We found a whole class full of upper school art students in pj's! They came out to say hello and we wished them a Happy Pajama Day.

Next, we headed to the Owl room. After some time for greetings and play...

...we gathered for morning meeting. We talked about making bread for people who don't have very much food, and how it will be a part of their Thanksgiving dinner.

Then we got mixing.

We made 3 loaves of pumpkin bread and 3 loaves of banana bread.

We also had some more time with our Owl friends.

After we finished our bread, Andrea came in to read us a pajama day story.

Then, of course, we had a dance party!

After lunch, the Catbirds worked their muscles hard, moving all of our tables so that we could make a fort.

We covered all of the tables with blankets and sheets.

We moved our sleeping bags inside.

We had book time and pretended to have rest time.

It was so much fun.

Andrea and Tricia came in to see our fort. It was an epic Pajama Day!
