An Autumn Walkabout & Biscuits with Jam

This morning, the Catbirds had their usual building period - and they were particularly liking the Tubez.

We have started working with our portfolios, and friends are learning how to record things on their individual blogs.

They particularly like reviewing their posts.

There was a cider machine.

And a rock star.

We headed outside for snack.

Some friends told tales for Catbird Stories, Volume 2.

The first graders were out with us for a bit, which the Catbirds enjoyed.

Then we gathered for a walkabout.

We wandered about campus, going "far from our school."

We found some good places to climb.

And run really fast.

We stopped to decide which way to go.

It was a beautiful day.

We found ourselves back at the petrified dragon.

And found a second Puddle Tree.

We stopped to check on progress at the new playground, and discovered that much of the old playground is gone!

We read friends new stories at morning meeting.

Worked some more with our oil pastels and watercolor.

And made buttermilk biscuits with the butter and buttermilk that we made yesterday.

Then we got down and dirty with some flour.

We ate the biscuits with strawberry jam!
Delicious!
