"What Weighs One Pound?"

Today we had the scales back out and began to answer the question, "What weighs one pound?"

16 square magnatiles.

The Mini Bears took an interest in this exploration and discovered that it took many, many many of the small wooden blocks to tip the scale.

Before we headed outdoors for our Meeting for Worship, we sat and made a plan about how we would find a good space and what we might need to take. Friends had lots of ideas, like finding a place that was dry to sit or taking something to sit on, looking for a place where we could see far and also see beautiful, colorful trees and maybe even some animals or rainbows.

We found a beautiful grassy spot where we could see all across the lawn. We were surrounded by lovely colorful trees and we brought our circles to sit on. We enjoyed the sights and sounds and smells.

We had some time to race around in the sunshine.

Then it was time for Art class!

Amanda had fired our tiles and today we got to glaze them.

We could chose either warm or cool colors - red, orange and yellow, or blue, light green and dark green.

Then we had some time outside!
