Our New Friends at Step Up Academy

Yesterday at table time, some friends worked on decoding patterns.

There were dinosaur dot-to-dots...

...and creating magnetic patterns.

Building with various materials.

And slow waking for some napping friends.

Today's sign in.

Then we were off to the meetinghouse with our second grade partners.

We had the meetinghouse to ourselves, so it was the perfect opportunity to talk about what we do in meeting for worship. It was great having our older friends with us to help demonstrate how its done.

Next, we headed next door to Step Up Academy to spend some time with their pre-school students.

We met in the sensory room for some songs and games with the parachute.

On our way back, we stopped to play on their playground.

Back in Catbirdland, we celebrated a friend's 4rth birthday. Since he was born on Groundhog Day, we first read a book about a groundhog and some friends.
Then, we lit a candle and sang a birthday song. Next, we shared a snack that included some delicious, groundhog-shaped cookies!

Choice Time!

Some very popular water play, where many of our animals and dinosaurs got baths.

There was a meeting of the Zebra Committee, and a decision to formally admit zebras into Catbird Country.
