Catbird Band

Book were very popular today, starting right off the bat.

One of our Catbird babies came for a visit.

We headed outside right after sign in, so that we could beat the rain.

We brought a box with us.

It was a nice way to start the day.

One of our friends let us borrow his grabber tool.

It was good for working on our grip strength, and a neat way to pick up stuff.

Inside, we had snack and worked on some projects we started earlier.

Gradually, a large Catbird band formed and performed many songs together.

Meanwhile, some friends undertook a massive building undertaking.

So large, it required a step stool and safety helmets.

We sang some new songs at Morning Meeting. We had our first "Boo Boo Sharing" - friends all got to describe a current or past injury, which is a favorite sharing activity. In addition to realizing shared experiences, it also gave us a chance to think about causality and the mysterious ways our bodies work.
Next, we read a rhyming story and then identified the three elements that we have been discussing - settings, characters and events. Our storytelling study continues.
