Creating a Town as Art!

This morning we headed out on an indoor adventure.

It had stopped raining, so we took a small outdoor detour.

We went to see the upper school self portraits.

The Catbirds picked out different faces and we tried to make the same faces. Then, we tried to figure out what the person might be thinking or feeling.

Next, we went to visit our friend, Rosanne, in her new office.

She gave us cool bookmarks and let us look at her rocks and sit on her comfy furniture.

When we got back, one of theCatbirds read us a book she brought in.

She did a great job sharing the pictures and we were especially good listeners.

While the snack helper was getting snack together, we had a dance party.

Then it was off to art class. We did a really cool group project were we "drove" our paint crayons around a huge piece of paper that had obstacles laid out on it.

These were our roads. After the obstacles came off, we got to create the rest of the town. The Catbirds loved it!

Then we headed outside to play in puddles.

And our boat.

We had a small Choice Time before lunch.
