BOAT DAY!!!

This morning, friends finished decorating their origami boats for snacj, and decorated cups to be used for the boat christening.

We also colored boat pictures.

Then Justin came with his pipe flutes and explained that they were instruments that sailors often played on boats.

We did a penny whistle freeze dance.

He taught us a song to sing on the boat.

Then we sang and danced our new song.

Soon it was time for our Boat Party Snacks. We made orange boats with strawberry sails.

Then we revved up the popcorn maker that one of the Catbird families lent to us.

It became a spectator activity, as we counted down for each series of pops.

The party was great!

Then we headed outside to wait for the boat delivery. We got a message that our friend Ali, and our boat, were stuck in a freight elevator! It wasn't long before they made it out.

Finally, they arrived! We cheered them in!

Friends were so excited to play in the boat. We took turns riding.

We sang our new song to welcome the boat.

Then we christened the boat and had some fancy sparkling cider.

We thanked our friend Ali for bringing us this great gift. Its going to be so much fun!
