Tea Testing

One of the ways we work on math is by counting and adding and subtracting on our fingers throughout the day for a whole variety of reasons (how many more of something we need, how many minutes until snack, etc.). However, 10 fingers is simply not enough any more, so we have some extra hands to help us do math. The Catbirds take turns holding them and doing the counting and math.

The Catbirds continue to work on many secret projects...I shall say no more.

Today we began our tea tasting, to determine what kinds of beverage we will be having at our Fancy Tea Party on Friday. Today, friends wrote their names on cups and we began with lemon ginger tea. We graphed our results.

It was a nearly unanimously approved flavor. Next, we started our Chai Chart. Results coming tomorrow.

Polly brought her Bear, Brian, to visit Bear Witness.

We headed to the music room for rehearsal with the EC and kindergarten classes for the Winter Program.

Tea tasting.

A brief time outside.

Then off to art, where we worked on our costumes.

Then, it was time for letter learning and lunch!
