Thanks to the collaboration of all of our wonderful Catbird families, our Stone Soup day was a wonderful success. Even before friends came in, you could smell the garlic and onions sauteing in the big pot.
The Catbirds got right to work chopping up all of the vegetables.
One by one, we added them to the pot.
While the soup simmered, we headed off to music class.
We had some time to build and play...and pose with our creations.
Before we headed out to enjoy this perfection of a day!
Friends made their own versions of Stone Soup outside.
At Morning Meeting, we got to hear a slightly different version of the Stone Soup story, in Cantonese.
And translated into English.
At Choice Time, many friends learned to write "stone" and "stone soup" in Chinese.
And friends enjoyed other choices, before we had lunch and ate our Stone Soup!
We don't have lunch pictures, but I was quite pleased and amazed at how many of our friends really enjoyed the soup!
