This morning, we had assembly. Some Catbirds got to go onstage and lead us in the "Say Hello" song.
The second grade sang us an Egyptian song.
We stopped at the rocket ship to take off for outer space.
Our friend, Doug the Astronomer joined us.
We had a special birthday snack and celebration.
Outside, Doug set up his telescope and we were able to look at a reflection of the sun.
Morning Meeting.
Doug read us a book called, "How the Stars Fell into the Sky."
Then he set up the telescope inside, and friends had a chance to really explore how it works.
We made our own galaxies.
