Catbird's Big Adventure

After our regular morning routine...

...we headed off to the library.

After we returned our books, Doris read us two stories about going for walks in the woods.

We got out some new books.

We loaded some of our books and all of our lunches and water bottles into two wagons, and headed off.

We found many crunchy leaves to kick through and throw.

Pulling the wagons took a lot of teamwork.

We stopped to climb our favorite climbing trees.

Then buddied up for street crossing.

We raced, rolled and ran down the Big Hill.

We parked here for a bit and had snack.

Then it was time to cross the bridge and get on the road to the Magic Forest.

However, there was a troll on the bridge, and each Catbird had to answer a question before they could cross over.

We saw many strange sights on our way.

Our favorite was a place that invited us to make our own art!

So we did!

Finally, we came to the gate to the Magic Forest, and used our key to get inside.

We found a special place to have our lunch.

And new places to explore.

We headed down to the lake.

We discovered ducks and geese and a great blue heron!

We relaxed by the water and had fun throwing rocks into the water.

We found all kinds of treasures in the woods, including lots of seeds. These were, "still in their package."

Too soon, it was time to head back
