What a tremendous Tuesday! We began our day as we always do: signing in
...and lots of giggling!
The rubber band boards were out, and friends made some very beautiful geometric designs
A good time was also had with drawing
and playdough
magnatiles and dramatic play
Friends worked together to build magnificent castles
We all gonged the gong when it was clean-up time
Some of us needed ear protection...
Snack outside and heavy lifting
Hide and Seek and the sandbox with siblings
When we came back inside, the Catbirds gathered together for Morning Meeting
Some friends had noticed our friend's medicine port earlier in the morning, so he took some time at morning meeting to tell friends about it, show it to them, explain what it is for and why he has it. He explained how it is used to give him medicine for his leukemia, as well as how he has to take care of it. He answered friends' questions and then they all shared with one another times that they have gotten shots and how sometimes they were scared and cried and sometimes they were brave and didn't cry.
We then went on to talk about what would be available for Choice Time.
Carol demonstrated the art of stencils
We put out Moon Sand
Cars and Trucks
and Beading
