Our Week iin Backwards Order

We went adventuring over to the Abington Art Center with our buddies, the Hummingbirds.
We came across this life-like stature...

And found some others that gave piggyback rides.

Big group circle to plan the rest of our hike.

Searching for dragons

An inch worm!

We had a blast at the giant hill and lunched on the stage. It was a great outing!

We put up our new tent this week

Then we brainstormed about how we might use it

Learning some new bones

Something we missed posting from last week. We visited Seth in the theater to learn about the set they are building for the upcoming show.

Making Patterns and Learning Habits

In art, we studied and talked about patterns in nature - ones found in seashells and flowers, in the sky and in water.

Then we worked on paper to make some of our own. Not only were we making lovely art, we were also using big muscles on big paper to develop muscles and coordination.

We also started to repeat many of the routines that will be a regular part of our school year - moments of silence, songs and chants that help us settle our bodies and get ready for lessons and stories.

So many stories!

Tracing patterns and letters to help us write and draw.

Each morning, a friend gets to pick a word or phrase that the class says as we take attendance. Today's word was "Lion."
