Making Coil Cups

Our morning began with Spanish class

We continued to work on our clothing words.

Then we played, "Camina, Camina," and said some of our body parts.

Much busy play, including planning for a wedding, before we cleaned up for story and snack.

Carol brought a new book back from the conference, called, "Under My Hijab," and friends got to see many women doing different jobs and wearing hijabs.

After snack, we headed to art.

Amanda showed us how to make coil cups.

First we made balls and punched them flat.

Then we rolled coils and built them up around the sides.

After they dry, Amanda will bake them in the kiln and then we will paint/glaze them.

Then we headed outside for some high-speed, imaginative play!
