Creek Walk

We had a little time this morning to do our jobs before we headed off to the auditorium for the sportsing event.

Many friends enjoyed the music and cheering, while others covered their ears when the pep band began to play. After the show, one Catbird was asked what he thought of the giant kangaroo on stage, to which he replied, "No." So, a range of responses.

Our new student, a Senior named Emma who will be working with us this month, returned for her second day. The Catbirds are quite happy to have her and she settled in to a fancy meal in the kitchen.

We had our pre-creek walk meeting to discuss issues and concerns as well as rules we might need and how to deal with awkward situations like unwanted splashing. We role played some solutions. The conversation took a surprising and lengthy turn when the Catbirds began to voice their concerns about a wide variety of lava involved situations. We reviewed a wide variety of lava contingency plans, just in case, then got packed up to go.

We found the beginning of the creek and worked our way down, moving in and out as needed.

Numerous friends went "all in" and most boots were filled to overflowing.

We saw some frogs and water sliders.

Carefully crossing over the log bridge.
