Springtime in February

Our early morning was quite busy.

Many complex buildings went up and came down.

The new purple flubber was very popular (by the way, it does come out in the wash).

Friends posed for our rating system chart.

Right about here, we headed off to meeting for worship with our third grade buddies. The camera did not come with us.

On our return, we had some more time to build and draw and drive.

Then it was story time. We read, "Ol' Mama Squirrel."

After snack, we headed outside to enjoy the incredible weather.

Back inside for Choice Time.

Puppets with Problems

Our morning filled with building,

dramatic play,

and new playdough!

Then we headed off to art class.

Today we made mosaics in the shape of a turtle.

Story time! We read our book of the week, "Anansi and the Talking Melon."

After snack, we headed outside.

At Morning Meeting, a puppy and dragon came by for a puppet show.

The puppets were having a problem - dragon wanted ALL the magnatiles and didn't want anyone to touch them, even when he left them to play elsewhere.

The Catbirds had lots of advice, as they tried to help work out the complicated rules of sharing toys.

At Choice Time, Music was a popular pick.

Other friends went to the reading and writing table to write letters to friends and family. Some are starting to write words independently. Others ask for words to be written down to copy and still other friends are dictating their letters.

Other friends worked on their self portraits.

Train engineers were hard at work.

And complex buildings were built in teams.

Carol also went out at lunch time to give blood, which was a BIG topic of conversation.
Parents, you may be getting some interesting questions.
