The Big Hill & the Park Ranger

Beginning the day as we always do...

We rehearsed for the Spring Program, our first time practicing on the stage!

And then we flew outdoors to prepare for our adventure

As we headed off to the Big Hill, we got ice pops!

We drank them down and got a little messy

Log jumping, of course!

We stopped in the jungle (the Meetinghouse grove) for some good climbing

Finally, we arrived! Let the running begin...

We even got to use bubbles!

In the building of the Abington Art Center is the office of the Alverthorpe Park (Magic Forest) Ranger. We got to meet him and ask him many questions about the Magic Forest. He told us that we can go fishing in the pond, which is stocked with catfish and pike fish. We also learned that the Magic Forest is full of many different land animals, and we told him that we had seen a herd of deer there last time.

Most importantly, we talked to him about the possibility of having a cook-out at the Magic Forest a week from today: Tuesday the 10th!

Then, we headed back for our Catbird home.

Finding flowers on the way
