Wild Life





This morning, we journaled and put up our pretzel alphabet, then headed for rehearsal.
We were on the big stage, which was a very interesting and distracting experience. We are getting very good at performing our songs and all of the Catbirds are extremely excited about performing for family members.





We went right from performing to outside, because it was another gorgeous day. We ate our snack outside, and then set up some projects to work on.



There was some very involved building of structures with the tree blocks, as well as a continued exploration of mixing.








We monitored the comings and goings of the mother robin who has built a nest on our play structure. We also kept an eye out for the baby snapping turtle that has taken up residence in our pond. There were also quite a few insects around to study.





When friends got thirsty, we got out our squirting water bag for silly thirst quenching.





The tripod and camera were out for more portrait taking (see some below).




Friends also worked on some new paper airplane designs (it is hard to believe that there are still planes that we haven't made).
