Despite my best efforts, many of the Catbirds are ready to expand their reading skills. We have learned to recognize many of the words we use daily and regularly work on letter sounds. Today I held our first Reading Class. I asked them not to come....they all showed up. We played a game with "at" words (like rat, bat, mat, sat, pat, fat and cat). They were ridiculously good at it. We have no photos of the class, but I'm sure your Catbird will be happy to talk with you about it.
We also went on an amazing adventure today - there were dinosaurs and werewolves chasing us! We found tracks and we ran and hid in many secret places. We flew on a rocket ship to the moon and Mars and the Sun. We found snow. It was wonderful....and dangerous!
