Cards for the Homeless

Table time, working on patterns.

Future Catbirds love books!

A gift arrived today from our friend Susan the Nurse...a giant bear. He was immediately overwhelmed with love.

Our third grade friends came to make cards for the homeless people with us.

Then we headed off for rehearsal.

Snack and story time.

Then some running around outside.

The Mystery Box

Friends are creating  more and more beautiful art.

The new color-changing pillow was a big hit with both the Catbirds and their families.

The Great Water Challenge has been a part of our week, as we all strive to finish at least one bottle of water every day.

Rehearsal for the big show.

Shaving cream!

Lots of friends made beautiful holiday cards for the homeless people. Tomorrow our third grade partners will come and help us write special messages and make cards of their own.

Others had important calls to make on their "Speedos" (don't ask, I have no idea).

Day three of the Mystery Box. Friends continued to make guesses and get more clues. Twenty Questions is a game that works across our age range: from friends who are just learning what a question is, to those building on clues to friends that are beginning to narrow guesses down by categories, it provides a challenge for everyone.

Today, we had a winner and he got to open the Mystery Box!

Some assembly was required, but we soon had our own Sit and Spin, and everyone took turns trying it out.

Some time outside.
